Dee Steverson Breathing problems??

My Missy occassionally seems like she can't get her breath - almost like an asthma attack in humans but she is trying to breath through her nose. I thought her trachea may have collapsed. This has occured when she is inside, outside even wakes from sleeping. Anyone have any ideas? It seems to be happening more often. We are going to the vet next week but wondering if this has happened to anyone else with a Lhasas.

cin henry no more licking my face

Kara has grown out of licking my face... she is so willing to please us and do good. Will learn easy just by giving her praise. Kara is very picky who she likes. She is so to warm up to some people but mostly other dogs. I would love to learn how to teach her to like other dogs.  She loves cats!

cin henry 2 years old now

Kara has been a blessing, we got her when my husband was going through chemo and radiation. As of today, my husband has been in remission for 2 years. We first give thanks to God and to Kara for all her unconditional love.

Royal K. Snyder I just joined MyLhasapoo

I just joined MyLhasapoo, and as yet can,t post any pictures because my daughter does that for me.  I have two fantastic Lhasapoo's, Chyna, my first love is over 18 years old, had cancer surgery last April and is doing super fine, even though I can't get her back in the vets office, she has panic attacks at the vets office now.  Hoagie, my male Lhasapoo is just a little over two and a half years old and just can't get enough of my fiance and I.  When I brought Chyna home 18 years ago I had…

Beth Bailey The gentleness of a Lhasapoo

We rescued Lady from a rescue.  She had been badly neglected and was very ill, from lack of care.  We rescued her for my 10 year old son for a Christmas present.  Lady came into our home, and we have loved her and cared for her from the very minuet we set eyes on her.  We are a family who takes in kids that have been neglected or abused. Lady on her own has become a therapy dog for those kids.  She always has plenty of love to go around.  I have never met a dog like Lady.  We also have 5 cats,… Continue

Margaret Kastendieck Need friends to play with

I am looking for other LhasaPoos in the Denver area so my little Max could visit for a "play date".  I know of two in the area, which are actually a brother and sister to Max.  The owners work with me so we can get together, but would love others to play with.

xxxxxx What works best to socialize your pet? What fun play times with others do you do?

Princess loves other dogs and people.  I am looking for new ways to keep her active with both.  She just finished her training class at Pet Smart.  I wasn't impressed with the classes at all but loved to watch her play with the other dogs.  Any suggestions?

Danielle Lhasapoo as a Therapy Dog

I just wanted to post about Bella's recent activity. We joined a Therapy Dog group. She is being trained to go into hospitals and nursing homes to cheer up the sick and lonely. She is taking to it really well. Just my opinion, but it seems that the lhasapoo termperment is perfect for this type of work. She is doing very well. I will have to post some pics when she receives her certification, vest and badge.

Feel free to send me any questions if you are interested.

Hi, my Bella is 4 years old and for the past 2 months has really bad ear infection. She has been on steriods(whch i am not happy about) and allergy pills plus ear drops for 2 months. it looks like it gets alittle better and then after a week or so of stoping the steriods and ear drops( but still giving her the allergy pills) per my vets instructions it starts up again. i changed her dry food because it had chicken and vet thinks it could be that plus the weather. i;m not sure what else to do.… Continue

Jacquelyn Iudiciani Help Please...question

Has anyone tried Composure for dog anxiety? I am traveling by plane for at least 5 hours. The last time I flew with Toby we used Benedryl, and it did not work. The flights were miserable. My vet office recommended Composure, but reviews show that it is more of a daily use herbal medication as opposed to using it for a one time thing.

Also, has anyone used a tranquilizer for flying? I would rather him sleep the whole time, but some things that I read said that it could effect their heart… Continue

Matthew Manuel From the Creator

Hey everyone! I hope you are enjoying the group and all the pictures and what not. A little history for those of you who don't know, I started Lhasapoo.org in 2002 which eventually turned into MyLhasapoo.com which turned into this site.

From 2002-2004 I would receive pictures and stories through email and manually crate HTML web pages for everyone. It was a lot of work. I prefer the way the site runs now on the NING network. :-)

I also wanted to let people know that I am… Continue

Sandi Condon HAPPY NEW YEAR LHASA-PEEPS!

I had a super fun X-Mas! My Mom had a houseful of fresh faces for me to lick. I got lot's of presents, still hiding all of my bones everywhere, my Mom gets really mad when they disappear. I like to put one on the floor right by her bed so she steps down on it first thing in the morning. She starts jumpin around and then that gets me excited and I start jumpin too..... Ahhhh.....good times. Life is good in San Diego. I went to the beach twice last week because it's been in the high 70's, low… Continue
